Everyone experience is unique. Here’s what I have seen and learned while working with the universal energy that surround us called Reiki. In the beginning of a treatment, Reiki brings a deep sense of support, relaxation and calm to our busy minds. After a Reiki session, some people feels a call to help others, some people decide to teach after their own personal beautiful and profound experience. Be a Reiki practitioner have more benefits than a session yet. As Reiki practitioner, with every session you give, it's another session you receive. Your energy align and balance with every session, you start to live in peace, your mind expand to understand deeper concepts about energy and the universe, your life start to change for your highest good and align to receive what is needed. Feel the unconditional love of reiki and as result, amazing things will start to happen. That's how my life as Reiki Master changed and I want you to have the same experience with my Reiki sessions. If you feel called to serve, to expand your Reiki experiences, to dig deep in the energy that surround us, understand the concepts of energy and how to make them work in an optimal way for people to heal, our Reiki sessions are for you.
Everyone experiences it a bit differently, but here’s what I’ve seen and learned while working with the beauty of Reiki. Early in a treatment, Reiki brings a deep sense of support, relaxation and calm, as our busy minds and tense bodies begin to relax. Although sensitivities vary, you may be aware of hot Reiki hands, feel energy flowing through you, enter a dream-like state, see colors, enjoy a catnap, or experience powerful shifts in your life that ripple into days and weeks to come. Some people ‘feel’ very little during Reiki, and still notice effects like stress reduction and increased physical healing. Most folks feel amazing peaceful, balanced, and happy.
Reiki is much more than just feeling relaxed, although that’s an important part of the process. One of the most exciting effects of a session is what happens in the days after. Reiki has a way of aligning us with the people we need to meet, engineering situations in our outside lives that help us clear old patterns or fears, and helping guide us to changes through our lives that align us with our purpose.
Reiki has had a positive affect on all forms of illness and negative conditions. This includes minor things like head or stomach aches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension and anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer, leukemia, etc. The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of chemotherapy, post operative pain and depression as well as improving the healing rate and reducing the time needed to stay in the hospital. Reiki always helps and in some cases people have experienced complete healings which have been confirmed by medical tests before and after the Reiki treatments. However, while some have experienced miracles, they cannot be guaranteed. Stress reduction with some improvement in ones physical and psychological condition is what's most experienced.
Before your session we will chat a little about your goals and intentions, talk about exactly what happens during your treatment, next lay (fully clothed) on a comfortable massage table and apply Reiki in a series of safe touch hand positions on or just above your body. The practitioner will ask about your preferences of hands-on or off. Most commonly, Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands should never be intrusive or inappropriate, nor should there be any pressure. After 30 minutes on the table, you’ll be left alone for small period of time (5 minutes) to meditate and let the alignment happen for a bit. After the time is up, you will be gently brought back to reality, stretch, and check in about what you experienced. "I feel very refreshed and seem to be thinking more clearly." "I think I fell asleep." "I can't believe how hot your hands got!" "I feel more relaxed than after a massage." "My headache is gone." These are some of things people may say after a Reiki session. The experience of Reiki is subjective, changeable, and sometimes very subtle. People often experience heat in the practitioner's hands, but sometimes the practitioner's hands feel refreshingly cool. Other common experiences are subtle pulsations where the practitioner's hands are placed or cascading waves of pulsations throughout the body.
How often should I receive Reiki?
Reiki is cumulative, the more we Reiki, the better we feel. It is comparable to the difference between going to the gym once for 30 minutes, or going every day for a month. Both experiences help us, but one becomes a lifestyle. The real answer to this question is simply that you will know when it is time to receive another session. Taking the time to be kind and loving to yourself is one of the great joys of living.
Any living creature can receive Reiki. Animals are incredibly receptive to receiving Reiki, and can benefit from a number of it's healing aspects; in particular, older animals especially those nearing transition and those with behavioral issues are great candiates. Reiki can also be performed from a distance for animals with aggressive tendencies. On a personal note, I have found working with pets to be some of the most powerful and rewarding sessions I've experienced.
No. Reiki works in conjunction with regular medical or psychological treatment. If one has a medical or psychological condition, it is recommended that one see a licensed health care professional in addition to receiving Reiki treatments. Reiki energy works in harmony with all other forms of healing, including drugs, surgery, psychological care or any other method of alternative care and will improve the results.
Most of the time a person will feel relaxed and uplifted by a Reiki treatment. However, sometimes a person will have what is called a healing crisis. As a person’s vibration goes up, toxins that have been stored in the body will be released into the blood stream to be filtered by the liver and kidneys and removed from the system. When this happens, sometimes a person can get a headache or stomach ache or feel weak. If this happens, it is a good idea to drink more water, eat lighter meals and get more rest. The body is cleansing as part of the healing process so this is a good
